Who Am I?
Kia Ora I am Jess Lepou,
I grew up in Auckland and when I turned twenty-one, decided I wanted to go out and into the unknown so moved by myself to Tauranga. I lived in Tauranga for three years while I completed my Bachelor of Counselling and met my now husband. We now reside in Christchurch and have just bought our first home.

My passion is working alongside teenagers and young adults, I have worked and volunteered in both school and church settings for 4+ years. When I am not working in my private practice I am a school counsellor. Although I have a passion for youth I still love to work alongside both children and adults.

I am in my mid-twenties, and a Christian. Although I am still early on in my journey of life I have been through my own navigation of changes, grief and anxiety, which I believe contributes to my practice and empathy towards my clients.

My Practice
My counselling practice is based on a person-centred approach. I adapt my practice depending on each person, what they need and their experiences. Some of the approaches I use are Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Strength- Based Therapy.
